The PUP-SMK E-book Collection


Lo and behold, the link to the PUP-SMK E-book Collection!  In this fast-paced world that has become of our planet, change is inevitable -- an example of such is digitization.  To help save trees, electronic books or "e-books" were created for this purpose.  This project entitled "E-books in the Cloud" utilizes the aforementioned type of technology and is meant for researches, further readings and the reduction of travel, photocopy, and printing expenses of the students of PUP BA History.  The books are from various file-sharing websites that are readily available to anyone, thus this collection is merely a consolidation of those books so that they may be easily accessed by students who wish to improve their knowledge base or need additional sources to back their papers.  Furthermore, this project aims to be dynamic and the organization welcomes other e-books that have yet to be added to this collection.  Please use these books responsibly and make sure that you cite them properly.

*Note that some file types are not in "PDF", the usual file type of e-books.  So included in the first folder, "2 Portable E-book Viewers" are Sumatra PDF for the viewing of .pdf and .epub files, and WinDjView for DjVu files.

General Assembly and Orientation

Everyone excited for the General Assembly and Orientation of our awesome Department?  You guys will be briefed about the upcoming activities and accomplishments of the Department of History and its official student organization, the PUP Samahan ng mga Mag-aaral ng Kasaysayan.

Why is our department holding such kind of event?  Dudes and dudettes, REMEMBER, the requiring of our parents' attendance (which, perchance, seems very aggravating on our parents' side) is actually auspicious to our side.  The purpose of their attendance is for the Department of History to create a restitution within them that their children are in the right hands; that the activities that the department will hold are safe; that nothing malign would harm their prized possession -- YOU GUYS! 

So, with the best of your abilities, try to convince your parents to attend this General Assembly... pwetty-pwetty pweeease? :3

The Department of History Bulletin Board


Last June 15, 2013, Prof. Mc Donald Domingo Pascual, along with selected students from BA History (Ryan Tan, Gelo Riego, and Jordy Matuguinas), revamped the Bulletin Board of the Department of History.  Though it was a tedious, all-day activity, it yielded mas o manos (very good) results.  Drop by the South Wing lobby (in front of the Claro M. Recto Hall) and see for yourselves the all-new and fantastic bulletin board!

Bonifacio Seminar for April 30, 2013!

It is right and just that we attend the April seminar of the  City of San Juan and the PUP Department of History's year-long celebration of Andres Bonifacio's 150th birthday.
